Tirpude Institute of Management Education encourages student participation in different cultural activities in the campus. Cultural activities promotes harmony and diversity of culture and provides a platform to the students to exhibit their talents. Cultural activities are the life blood of the institute for which the students eagerly wait.

The institute organizes various cultural activities that is planned and executed by student group at intra collegiate and inter collegiate level. The activities like dance, drama, singing, fashion show, etc. are very popular with the student and they actively participate in these events.

 

Caliber Nova’s Crescendowood- Ekdum Filmy – Oct 2018 Report

“Crescendowood Ekdum Filmy!” the 19th edition of the most popular youth festival of the city was held from 4th – 8th October, 2017, at Tirpude College Grounds. Tirpude Institute of Management Education, part of  Yugantar Education Society, has been organizing this popular event for the past 17 years. This annual event witnesses a huge participation every year and the student footfall during this youth festival was around 20000 – 22000. The college also undertook massive promotion and branding activities for this event, which are unmatched in the academic circles.

For this edition of Crescendowood, the theme chosen was “Crescendowood -Ekdum Filmy!” It has been chosen as Bollywood is close to peoples’ hearts and everyone can relate to it easily. The events started with a grand fete- “Crescendo WOOD ka Mela” – on 4th October and was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Sunil Bonde, PI, Sadar Police Station. The guest enthusiastically visited all stalls and also tried his hand at most of  them. In the process, he won quite a few prizes too. Later, the mega event Crescendowood was also formally inaugurated on the same day at 7.00 PM at the hands of Ms. Ghana TIrpude, Member, Yugantar Education Society.

(Girls double) Neha Bharwani & Nikita Ghogle were the winners and Yashika Hemrajani & Richa Dawda were runners up. (Mixed double) Varad Gajbhiye & Richa Dawda were winners and Zoeb Dammani & Triveni Mudaliar were the runners up.

 

Kho-kho: (Boys) Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal were the winners & C.P. & Berar the runners up. (Girls) Vidarbha Krida Mandal were the winners and C.P. & Berar the runners up.

 

Table Tennis: Final match under Boys category was won by Siddharth Udapurkar while Pranav Gawande was at second position. Girls category match was won by Ruchita Panbude while Shweta Singh was at second position.

 

Arm Wrestling: In ‘above 70 Kg’ category Aryan Gangotri won 1st prize and Akshay Gangotri won the 2nd. In the ‘under 70 Kg’ category Navin Singh won 1st prize and Angad Saddal won the 2nd.

 

Remote Car Racing: 1st prize was won by Abhijeet Daleshini and 2nd by Hitesh Makhija.

 

Tug of War: (Boys) Anjuman College team was the winner and Jaspal & team the runners up. (Girls) Anjuman College team was the winners and C.P. & Berar College team the runners up.

 

Carrom: 1st prize was won by Ankush Khobragade & Shubham Shende, 2nd prize was won by Ashish Hathipachel & Abhilash Baksare and 3rd prize by Pranav Patil & Vijendra Tambe.

Crescendowood’s Cultural Extravaganza:

 

Crescendowood – Ekdum Filmy also had a cultural section, under which several attractive events, having glamour quotient, were conducted. The events were mostly held in the evening inside a specially constructed dome and saw keen contest, stupendous preparations and thrill. Results are as follows:

 

Group dance: 1st prize was won by Arichal Varke & Group, 2nd prize was won by D’Monster Group and 3rd prize by Five Plus D’Dance Group. Dance (Solo): 1st prize was won by Prerna Patil, 2nd prize by Samiksha Sahare & 3rd prize by Sam Samithul. Dance (Couple): 1st prize was won by Nikhil & Swaraj, 2nd prize by Sneha Singh & Shrishti Verha & 3rd prize by Aarzoo & Abhishek.

 

Antakshari: 1st prize winning team comprised of Anoopa Sharma & Ashwini Gondane and 2nd prize winning team comprised of Rohit Upadhyay & Neelam Yunus.

 

Singing: (Boys) Sumit Bendle was the winner & Mangesh Deshpande the runner up. (Girls) Rida Sheikh was the winner & Nirmohi the runner up. (Duet) Naivedya & Gagan were the winners and Rahul & Rashi the runners up.

 

Quiz: Winners were Dr. Ambedkar College and runners up were Raisoni College.

 

Personality Contest: Swapnil Gedam won the ‘Mr. Personality’ title and Shweta Umre won the ‘Miss Personality’ title.

Crescendo XVIII – The eighteenth edition of most popular youth festival of the city was held during 31st January – 5th February, 2017, at Tirpude College Grounds. Tirpude Institute of Management Education, part of GROUP TiRPUDE of Yugantar Education Society has been organizing this popular event for the past 17 years. “Cashendo ATM – ALL TIME MASTI” was the theme for the eighteenth edition of the fest. The theme “Cashendo ATM – ALL TIME MASTI” relates to the Government initiative of ‘cashless economy’ and the constraints of withdrawing cash from ATMs. To mark the inauguration of massive promotion and branding activities, a ‘Cashendo Jyot’ was lighted at the hands of Shri Kapil Patil, MLA and Shri Charansingh Thakur, former President, ZP, Katol. The day coincides with birth anniversary of Late Shri Nasikrao alias Balasaheb Tirpude, former Dy. Chief Minister of Maharashtra and founder of Yugantar Education Society (YES), which manages Tirpude Institute of Management Education.

Prof. Carol Poonekar was the In-charge for ‘Cashendo – ATM ALL TIME MASTI’, which was sponsored by Bhojwani Foods, co-sponsored by Bhatia Farms & Caliber’s Nova and powered by Maheshwari Jewellers. P. Automobiles. The massive youth festival activities started on 31st January with a grand fete, the ‘Cashendo ka Mela’. The ‘Cashendo ka Mela’ was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Manoj Sidam, Sr. Police Inspector, Sadar Police Station, at 5.00 PM, in presence of college youth and staff. The fete comprised of various stalls having interesting games and event, some of which are lucky 7, roll a ball, circuit game, VR gaming, puzzle game, request stall, etc.

The event “Cashendo ATM – ALL TIME MASTI” was inaugurated by Mr. Inderveer Singh Bhatia, Director, The Bhatia Farms, Mr. Pankaj Agrawal, Director, Caliber’s Nova, Shri Wamanraoji Kombade, General Secretary, YES and Smt. Vanitatai Tirpude, Working President, YES on 1st February  at 6:00 pm. The five days witnessed 29 different events under two distinct sections, namely Cashendo Cultural (14 events) and Cashendo Sportz (15 events). We received total 1870 entries (997 for sports and 877 for cultural) for this hugely popular youth festival.

 

The valedictory function and prize distribution was graced by Mr. Inderveer Bhatia, Director, The Bhatia Farms and Dr. Lalit Khullar, Director, TIME. Cash prizes along with attractive prizes were given away to the winning teams/individuals and runners up.

 

Crescendopur- Happiness ka Junction

The Mega Inter Collegiate Youth Festival – 25th  to 30th October, 2015

 

The seventeenth edition of the event, Crescendo, was organized from 25th to 30th October 2015. The XVII event was ‘Bhojwani’s Crescendopur- Happiness Ka Junction’, powered by Mercedes Benz. The theme was CRESCENDOPUR – Happiness ka Junction, which personifies a happy railway station where students from all the colleges come & share their happiness with each other.   All the 27 events and activities were named and organized after the selected theme for example, Naachpur Express (Dance), Geetlok Express (Singing), Laaganpur Express (Cricket), Fifa Express (Football) etc. Crescendopur comprised of two distinct sections, Culturalpur- The Cultural Fest consisting of total 13 events and Sportspur– Sports Fest consisting of total 14 events, thus making it an interesting, educating and entertaining event for the youth of the city.

It was for the first time in the history of Crescendo that a FANCY FETE was organised on 25th October from 11:00am to 8:30pm. The fete was inaugurated by Mr. R. Bhagwaan, Senior PI, Sadar Police Station. The fete consisted of 21 interactive and enticing stalls and activities for young and old alike. The food stalls of Vaikuntham Catering Services and Dinshaw’s which served mouth watering food was relished everyone.

Prof. Carol Poonekar was the Faculty In-charge for ‘Crescendopur- Happiness Ka Junction’, which was sponsored by Bhojwani Foods and powered by Mercedes Benz. Also present on the dais were Ms. Mehajabeen Bhapuna from Dinshaw’s, Mr. Ashim Munshi, Cheif Manager, Bank of Baroda and Dr. Aban Magra. We received total 1577 entries (562 for sports and 1015 for cultural) for this hugely popular youth festival.

The cultural events were judged by eminent personalities of Nagpur, which included Ms. Meha Sharma, Ms. Barkha Mathur, DJ Montz and Akash Bhojwani.

The valedictory function and prize distribution was held on 30th October 2105 and was graced by Mrs. Vanita Tai Tirpude, Working President Yugantar Education Society, Mrs. Ghana Tirpude, Member, Yugantar Education Society,  Dr. Lalit Khullar, Director, TIME, Dr. Sanjay Kavishwar, Dean Academics & Admissions, Prof. Carol Poonekar, In-charge, Crescendo and Dr. Praveen Mustoor.

 

Crescendology  – Entertainment ka GARAM JUGAAD

 The Mega Inter Collegiate Youth Festival – 21ST to 25th January, 2015

 

 

Crescendo XVI – The sixteenth edition of the most popular youth festival of the city was held from 21st to 25th January, 2015, at Tirpude College Grounds. Tirpude Institute of Management Education, part of GROUP TiRPUDE of Yugantar Education Society has been organizing this popular event for the past 15 years.            Crescendology comprised of two distinct sections i.e.  Crescendo Cultural and Crescendo Sportz. Crescendo Cultural Fest included 13 events like Fashion Show, Dance, War of DJs, Quiz, Antakshari, Quiz, Rock Band, Film & Photography, Personality Contest, Singing, Ad-Making and Art Attack. This year two new events Dareology and Super Leagueologywere added. Crescendo Sportz included 15 events like Mixed Cricket, Carom, chess, Football, Kho Kho, Tug of War, Treasure Hunt, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Badminton, LAN Gaming, Mixed Volleyball and Car Racing (Remote). Under sports also, this year two new events Riderology and Armologywere added. We received total 1515 entries (664 for sports and 851 for cultural) for this hugely popular youth festival.

 

For this edition of Crescendo the theme chosen was “Crescendology – Entertainment ka GARAM JUGAAD”. The youth today relates more to fun and sports activities and hence each and every activity that is designed to create awareness was woven around ‘Entertainment ka GARAM JUGAAD’. The inaugural function of Crescendology XVI was held on 21st January, 2015, at 6:00 PM in the presence of Dr. Murlidhar Chandekar, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, RTMNU.

Prof. Carol Poonekar was the In-charge for ‘Crescendo XVI’, which was co-sponsored by Lenovo, Monster Instinct and S.S. Group. CrescendoNasha! Addicted to Life!!

The Mega Inter Collegiate Youth Festival – 23rd  to 27th October, 2013

 

 

CrescendoNasha – 2013, the 5-day cultural & sports extravaganza for college youth, was  organized by Tirpude Insittute of Management Education (TIME) during 23 October 2013 to 27 October 2013 at Tirpude College grounds.

For the year 2013 the theme for Crescendo was “Nasha! Addicted to Life!!”. The event was co sponsored by IBM.

 

The event had a very appropriate theme which exhorts the youth to shun harmful addictions like drugs, alcohol, smoking & violence and embrace positive addictions of life. Through this theme TIME is making the student community aware of the ill effects of different types of addictions like Drugs, Violence, Alcohol & Tobacco. While at the same time the organizers are also endeavouring that the youth turn towards life and get addicted to the good things in life like relationships, humanity, friendship, brotherhood and love. Hence the posters proclaim Nasha Zindagi ka, Nasha Pyaar ka, Nasha Insaaniyat ka & Nasha Dosti ka.

 

Some of the activities that have been undertaken to promote the event are: Flash Mobs (Street dance performances at Traffic Park, Futala, Poonam Chambers and leading malls), Street Plays (scripted specially for highlighting the dangers of drugs, violence, alcohol, etc.), Bike Rally, Walkathon (with specially made posters highlighting ill effects of drugs, violence, etc.) and Expert Talks (on de-addiction and non-violence).

 

CrescendoNasha – 2013’, was inaugurated at the sprawling college campus of Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME), on Wednesday, 23rd October. The event was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Sanjay Saxena, Jt. Commissioner of Police, who was the Chief Guest and began with the lighting of traditional lamp at the hands of dignitaries on the dais. The valedictory function and prize distribution was graced by Dr. Pallavi Darade, Addl. Commissioner-Tribal Development. Attractive prizes were given away to the winning teams/individuals and runners up.

 

Various events conducted during these five days were Dance, Rock Band, Singing, Blind Date, Mime-a-Movie, Fashion Show, War of DJs, Quiz and many more under the cultural head. Under sports, there was Mixed Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Tug Of War, Table Tennis, Badminton, Kabaddi, Rider Mania and many more. In all there were total 15 sports events and 11 cultural events that were held over a span of five days. The programme this year generated an overwhelming response from the student community, with participation from over 165 colleges and institutions and total 1414 entries under various events( 789 for sports and 625 for cultural).  Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Carol Poonekar, In-charge, CrescendoNasha – 2013.

TPL (Tirpude’s Premier League) Report 2013-14

Tirpude’s Premier League (abbreviated TPL) is a concept by the Tirpude Group of Institutions (TGI) namely; TIME for its students. The idea of TPL is to engage the students in various sports, cultural, co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities inculcating in them a healthy competitive spirit boosted with teamwork and blended with motivation for a sense of achievement. Also, by actively participating in the events organized by TPL, the students get a chance to interact with each other, know their strengths and weaknesses and learn from each other.

The building blocks of TPL are the Director, the Dean, All Programme Coordinators, and the TPL incharge who also combine together to form the TPL Governing Council. The TPL governing council formulates the rules, regulations and also implements the TPL annual calendar.
The TPL Governing council has introduced the TPL Organizing Committee into play to design, device and orchestrate the various competitions all along the year. TPL Organizing Committee consists of the TPL In-charge and the TPL Coordinators who are assisted by a team of selected students from BBA and BCCA 1st, 2nd and 3rd years. These students are involved only in the conduct of the whole competition and do not compete in the competitions.

The competitors of the League are in the form of 15 teams of 30 students each, combined from all the disciplines. Each team is guided by a team mentor who is a faculty member. The members of each team represent their respective teams with the Team Logos printed on their T-shirts. Also the members of the team promote their teams during every event through cheering, hooting, and displaying their logos and taglines all throughout the college. The teams are named as the Jaguars, Tornadoes, Gladiators, Super Boulders, Hawks, Titans, Falcons, Thunderbirds, Mustangs, Mavericks, Comets, Dynamos, Wizards, Typhoons and Trojans.

The events held in the league during the first half of the year were Dance, Antakshari, Movie Set Designing, Umbrella painting, Poster making and T-shirt Relay. Leading the first half of TPL was The Tornadoes with 45 points with five teams lagging behind just by four points. The second half of the League commenced after the Diwali vacations on 30th Nov’2011 with Kitchen Orchestra using only the household items of daily use, Rider mania and Fashion Show competitions.

To celebrate the grand success of TPL’2013-14, a closing ceremony was held on 14th December. A fashion show competition was organized for all the teams, the results of which were to decide the final winners of the league. Different talents were displayed and highlighted by all the teams so as to set a bar that we hope will be raised in the future. Mustangs emerged as the winners of TPL, with Gladiators and Tornadoes occupying the second and the third positions respectively. The winners were given a cash prize of 11,000 rupees along with a gift hamper and the trophy. The ceremony ended by giving a vote of thanks and prize distribution which was followed by a jam session for the students.

TPL (Tirpude’s Premier League) Report 2012-13

DMSR-Tirpude College of Social Work, a leading Management institute in central India, is known for its innovative practices in imparting management education. The institute strongly believes that the scope of management education should extend much beyond conventional classroom presentations. A decisive step in this direction was taken recently with the inauguration of the much awaited second edition of the Tirpude’s Premier League (TPL 2012).
Tirpude’s Premier league comprises of year long cultural and co-curricular competitions that are conducted amongst the students who are part of fifteen different teams namely Tornadoes, Thunder Birds, Gladiators, Comets, Jaguars, Mustangs, Wizards, Mavericks, Dynamos, Super Boulders, Trojans, Typhoons, Hawks, Titans and Falcons. The concept behind conducting TPL is to instil a sense of teamwork and foster competitive spirit amid the students.
The inaugural function was held on 4th August and was marked with an overwhelming presence of students at the college auditorium. The TPL Governing Council comprising of The Director Dr. Lalit Khullar, The Dean Academics Dr. Sanjay Kavishwar, The T&P Coordinator Prof. Medha Dixit, PGDM Coordinator Prof. Yogesh Gharpure, BBA Program Coordinator Prof. Carol Poonekar and BCCA Program Coordinator Prof. Vilas Hazare inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp thus marking the beginning of a new session that holds new promises and fresh challenges.
The teams were dressed up according to different themes allotted to them and showcased their talents by introducing the teams in their own individual styles. Jaguars dressed up as pirates stole the show with excellent synchronization and presentation and were declared as the winner for the Theme Day. The next event for the day was Antakshari in which all the teams participated with their respective mentors. The zealous comets carved their way to success through the four rounds and emerged as the winner.
The other events held in the league during the first half of the year were Dessert Making, Group Dance, Singing, Lan Gaming: Need for Speed (Most Wanted), Hair Dressing, Tattoo Making, face Painting, Article writing Competition and Football League.

The second half of the League commenced after the Diwali vacations on 8th December’2012 with Graffiti wall Painting and the theme for the same was Indian Culture and Heritage, which was followed by Christmas Decoration and Carol Singing competition, Rider Mania, Treasure Hunt, Fashion Show, and Dance Drama Competition.

To celebrate the grand success of TPL-2012-13, a closing ceremony was held on 23rd December. The ceremony started with the governing council lightning the traditional lamp, followed by a Ganesh vandana from the Organising committee. Different talents were displayed and highlighted by all the teams so as to set a bar that we hope will be raised in the future. The ceremony ended by giving a vote of thanks and prize distribution which was followed by a jam session for the students.
