14th August over the years has become synonym for Alumni Meet at TIME. Like every year this time to the alumni meet was held onTROY 14/08.2018 in college premises from 6pm onwards. This year the theme of the annual Alumni meet was ’Karaoke Night’. In the ‘Karaoke Night’ a number of Alumni and faculty members participated. Their performance was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. There were different fun game- stalls where many of the alumni had played and won prizes. The present batch of MBA students set the stage on fire with a fabulous fashion show and the BBA students performed a spectacular dance number. The anchors of the event were Prof. Rohan Job and Mr. Satyam Agrawal. The venue and the stage decorations were done by the students which were widely appreciated.

A successful event is the result of robust planning and this year record number (around 300) of alumni turned up for the event which was the result of continuous planning and calling by the students namely Ms. Jayashree Suryawanshi, Ms. Utkarsha Sangode, Ms. Shivani Wadettiwar, Chinmay Ukhalkar, Gurmeet Kaur and Mukul Saini.

The games and Karaoke performances was followed up with a jam session. After the Jam session everyone proceeded for dinner. All the alumni were given a sporty earphones as a souvenir. The event incharge were Dr. S. Jaiswal and Prof. Rohan Job






The ‘Induction Programme’ for fresh MBA students of Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME) was one marked by enthusiasm and curiosity. The new batch of MBA students was inducted at the institute in a meticulously planned 4-day programme that commenced on 1st August, 2018, at the institute’s Civil Lines campus.
Moving away from traditional inauguration, the programme started with a welcome video prepared for the purpose and depicting current and past students engaged in different activities of the institute. This video was promoted in its marketing campaign and has a hundred views. From Tirpude Institute say: “IMO the best site to buy youtube views 2018 is because with numerous views we have more students”. From the video, students could see different activities of the institute. Later during the day, the new batch of students underwent the Tirpude’s Management Aptitude Test (T-MAT), inputs from which will be used for development of students. The day’s activities culminated with formation of groups for the next three days tasks, done musically.
Day-2 started with a panel discussion by Dr. Lalit Khullar, Director, TIME, Dr. Sanjay Kavishwar, Dean-Academics, Dr. Praveen Mustoor, Chairman-Placements and Dr. Yogesh Gharpure, MBA Coordinator. During this discussion these senior faculty members appraised the new student batch on philosophy and working at TIME and how this provides them with immense opportunity for growth and development. Panel discussion was followed by installation of the ‘Placement Cell’ for the year, wherein students of the senior batch were inducted as placement cell members. The day’s activities culminated with a ‘sneak peak’, an information session on all events and activities of the institute conducted throughout the year, which include Intercollegiate event Crescendo, Erudition, Industry readiness exercise (TiRE), Management aptitude development (MADness), Case study workshop, Library, Student aptitude test (T-SAT), Placement cell, Campus recruitment training, Summer internships (SIP), Short term projects (STP), Rotaract, Tirpude’s outreach programme (TOP), Research cell, Entrepreneurship cell, Applied & Retrospective Arts (TiARA) courses, International affiliation, etc.
Day-3 began with a guest lecture by Ms. Manisha Kapoor, who spoke on grooming and self-motivation. This was followed by interaction with seniors by way of specific indoor games that included Karaoke dance face off, team pushups, paper toss, ‘lie to me’ and ‘Floataceous’. The day finished with an exciting treasure hunt within the huge college campus, keeping the students continuously on their toes. Day-4, the final day, started with an alumni panel discussion. Alumni invited from the past few batches included Amol Tarar, Swanand Sahasrabudhe, Sumit Assudani and Gopika Shrivastava. They spoke on their days at Tirpude Institute, their engagements and how they made the most of those days. Outdoor games and management activities say the end of the PG Induction programme and it made a positive impression and infused enthusiasm among the new batch of MBA students.


Crescendowood – Ekdum Filmy

“Crescendowood Ekdum Filmy!” the 19th edition of the most popular youth festival of the city was held from 4th – 8th October, 2017, at Tirpude College Grounds. Tirpude Institute of Management Education, part of  Yugantar Education Society, has been organizing this popular event for the past 17 years. This annual event witnesses a huge participation every year and the student footfall during this youth festival was around 20000 – 22000. The college also undertook massive promotion and branding activities for this event, which are unmatched in the academic circles.

For this edition of Crescendowood, the theme chosen was “Crescendowood -Ekdum Filmy!” It has been chosen as Bollywood is close to peoples’ hearts and everyone can relate to it easily. The events started with a grand fete- “Crescendo WOOD ka Mela” – on 4th October and was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Sunil Bonde, PI, Sadar Police Station. The guest enthusiastically visited all stalls and also tried his hand at most of  them. In the process, he won quite a few prizes too. Later, the mega event Crescendowood was also formally inaugurated on the same day at 7.00 PM at the hands of Ms. Ghana TIrpude, Member, Yugantar Education Society.

(Girls double) Neha Bharwani & Nikita Ghogle were the winners and Yashika Hemrajani & Richa Dawda were runners up. (Mixed double) Varad Gajbhiye & Richa Dawda were winners and Zoeb Dammani & Triveni Mudaliar were the runners up.


Kho-kho: (Boys) Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal were the winners & C.P. & Berar the runners up. (Girls) Vidarbha Krida Mandal were the winners and C.P. & Berar the runners up.


Table Tennis: Final match under Boys category was won by Siddharth Udapurkar while Pranav Gawande was at second position. Girls category match was won by Ruchita Panbude while Shweta Singh was at second position.


Arm Wrestling: In ‘above 70 Kg’ category Aryan Gangotri won 1st prize and Akshay Gangotri won the 2nd. In the ‘under 70 Kg’ category Navin Singh won 1st prize and Angad Saddal won the 2nd.


Remote Car Racing: 1st prize was won by Abhijeet Daleshini and 2nd by Hitesh Makhija.


Tug of War: (Boys) Anjuman College team was the winner and Jaspal & team the runners up. (Girls) Anjuman College team was the winners and C.P. & Berar College team the runners up.

Crescendowood’s Cultural Extravaganza:


Crescendowood – Ekdum Filmy also had a cultural section, under which several attractive events, having glamour quotient, were conducted. The events were mostly held in the evening inside a specially constructed dome and saw keen contest, stupendous preparations and thrill. Results are as follows:


Group dance: 1st prize was won by Arichal Varke & Group, 2nd prize was won by D’Monster Group and 3rd prize by Five Plus D’Dance Group. Dance (Solo): 1st prize was won by Prerna Patil, 2nd prize by Samiksha Sahare & 3rd prize by Sam Samithul. Dance (Couple): 1st prize was won by Nikhil & Swaraj, 2nd prize by Sneha Singh & Shrishti Verha & 3rd prize by Aarzoo & Abhishek.


Antakshari: 1st prize winning team comprised of Anoopa Sharma & Ashwini Gondane and 2nd prize winning team comprised of Rohit Upadhyay & Neelam Yunus.


Singing: (Boys) Sumit Bendle was the winner & Mangesh Deshpande the runner up. (Girls) Rida Sheikh was the winner & Nirmohi the runner up. (Duet) Naivedya & Gagan were the winners and Rahul & Rashi the runners up.


Quiz: Winners were Dr. Ambedkar College and runners up were Raisoni College.


Personality Contest: Swapnil Gedam won the ‘Mr. Personality’ title and Shweta Umre won the ‘Miss Personality’ title.


Treasure Hunt: 1st prize winners were Sachin & group, 2nd prize winners were Ayush & group and 3rd prize winners were Shweta & group.


Film Making: Akhil Patnaik was the winner while Prashant Shende was the runner up.
