TiRE 2021

INDUSTRY READINESS EXERCISE AT TIRPUDE INSTITUTE
Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME), Central India’s leading management education institute, conducted an industry readiness exercise ‘TiRE 2021’, from 25th to 27th October. This 3-day exercise was conducted at the institute’s premises for its MBA semester-III students and was a part of an objective to expose MBA students to actual industry practices and situations. The event was conducted offline strictly adhering to the Covid19 guidelines given by the Government.
The exhaustive exercise started with an interesting session on ‘formal attire’, conducted by Ms. Ekta Chawla and Mr. Hemang Sharma, separately for girls and boys. This was followed by an interaction with Training and Placement Officers. Students learnt the importance of formal attire and grooming for corporate life. Next were two simultaneous sessions on ‘Interview Techniques’ by Mr Hitesh Dewani and ‘Group Discussion Techniques’ by Mr Amit Gunani in two sseperate rooms with 50% seating capacity , wherein they enlightened the students on decisive aspects of participating in a group discussion and impressive ways to face a personal interview. Student groups were formed for effective conduct of the entire TiRE exercise.
Day 2 and 3 witnessed interactions with Mr. Amar Naise on ‘Work Professionalism and Self Management ’ followed by a Panel discussion on “Start ups and Entrepreneurship challenges”. Satyam Agrawal, Manish Khanchandani, Divya Nankani and Anushree Mahalle were the panelist interviewed by student representatives. A noteworthy feature of these two days was that the institute invited 30 corporate managers from diverse industry sectors to conduct mock group discussions and personal interviews, thereby giving the students a perfect feel of quality that the industry demands from management graduates. During these two days, every student participated in several group discussions and personal interviews. This happens to be the most important component of the entire TiRE (Tirpude’s Industry Readiness Exercise) as it concerns skills required for getting selected in industry and also tests the students on their ‘job ready’ quotient.
This 3-day event was coordinated by Dr. Prasanna Shembekar, Dr. Sridevi Jaiswal and Prof. Rohan Job. The program was successfully conducted under the guidance and support of Shri Rajkumarji Tirpude, President, Yugantar Education Society and Director of TIME Dr. Lalit Khullar.
