It has always been an endeavour at Tirpude Institute of Management Education to encourage innovation in each sphere of a student’s academic as well as social life. We feel that business education is one that creates thought leaders with a holistic viewpoint towards business, enterprise and society. It should go beyond an introduction to general principles and beyond the acquisition of specific technical skills.
The events included in Erudition provide a platform to the students to showcase knowledge, leadership skills, application of theoretical concepts and their ability to compete in the race. With this aspect in mind, we have proposed a bouquet of skill tests in Erudition.

Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME) is a pioneer in conducting innovative management workshops for students and to inculcate the X factor in each one of them. One such academic event which is conducted every year is Tirpude’s Industry Readiness Exercise (TiRE). This event is specially conducted for the MBA/BBA/BCCA final year students. This workshop is designed to make the students job-ready for industry and aims to prepare the students for all the challenges that they shall face in their work lives.
The objective of this exercise is to provide improved feedback, guidance, and mentoring to students so as to help them plan better and demonstrate their employability skills. The workshop helps the institute to identify, design and modify programs to better promote learning and student success in corporate world.
This is a 5-day workshop, during which students are made to undergo various activities, sessions, workshops, etc. along with several mock Group Discussions (GD) and mock Personal Interviews (PIs) conducted by experts from the industry. Sessions are conducted on Resume making, tips on GD and PI, personal grooming, email and office etiquettes by industry stalwarts. The grooming session, which is a part of the pre TiRE exercise, aims at giving the girls and boys an opportunity to learn and practice the art of tying knot/ scarf, techniques of applying makeup and grooming for the job in presence of industry professionals.
Adding a touch of glamour to it, two workshops on dining etiquette and table manners are also held outside of the campus, with an aim to train students on dining etiquettes, table manners and usage of cutlery and napkins during formal dining settings in the corporate world. An elaborate menu is served to the students to familiarize them with various international and Indian cuisines. Students enjoy these sessions, thoroughly, while they also learn new skills.
The various rigorous activities and sessions that students undergo as a part of TiRE are
- Grooming (Boys & Girls, separately)
- Table manners and etiquettes
- Resume making
- Office etiquettes
- Emailing etiquettes
- Conducting an official meeting (including minutes of meeting)
- Group Discussions – 4 sessions for every student
- Personal Interviews – 4 sessions for every student
Students gain immense confidence as a result of TiRE activities. They also get to know their weak spots and have an opportunity to improve upon these areas before they actually face the corporate world.
