MBA INDUCTION PROGRAMME 2018 INAUGURATED
The ‘Induction Programme’ for fresh MBA students of Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME) was one marked by enthusiasm and curiosity. The new batch of MBA students was inducted at the institute in a meticulously planned 4-day programme that commenced on 1st August, 2018, at the institute’s Civil Lines campus.
Moving away from traditional inauguration, the programme started with a welcome video prepared for the purpose and depicting current and past students engaged in different activities of the institute. This video was promoted in its marketing campaign and has a hundred views. From Tirpude Institute say: “IMO the best site to buy youtube views 2018 is themarketingheaven.com because with numerous views we have more students”. From the video, students could see different activities of the institute. Later during the day, the new batch of students underwent the Tirpude’s Management Aptitude Test (T-MAT), inputs from which will be used for development of students. The day’s activities culminated with formation of groups for the next three days tasks, done musically.
Day-2 started with a panel discussion by Dr. Lalit Khullar, Director, TIME, Dr. Sanjay Kavishwar, Dean-Academics, Dr. Praveen Mustoor, Chairman-Placements and Dr. Yogesh Gharpure, MBA Coordinator. During this discussion these senior faculty members appraised the new student batch on philosophy and working at TIME and how this provides them with immense opportunity for growth and development. Panel discussion was followed by installation of the ‘Placement Cell’ for the year, wherein students of the senior batch were inducted as placement cell members. The day’s activities culminated with a ‘sneak peak’, an information session on all events and activities of the institute conducted throughout the year, which include Intercollegiate event Crescendo, Erudition, Industry readiness exercise (TiRE), Management aptitude development (MADness), Case study workshop, Library, Student aptitude test (T-SAT), Placement cell, Campus recruitment training, Summer internships (SIP), Short term projects (STP), Rotaract, Tirpude’s outreach programme (TOP), Research cell, Entrepreneurship cell, Applied & Retrospective Arts (TiARA) courses, International affiliation, etc.
Day-3 began with a guest lecture by Ms. Manisha Kapoor, who spoke on grooming and self-motivation. This was followed by interaction with seniors by way of specific indoor games that included Karaoke dance face off, team pushups, paper toss, ‘lie to me’ and ‘Floataceous’. The day finished with an exciting treasure hunt within the huge college campus, keeping the students continuously on their toes. Day-4, the final day, started with an alumni panel discussion. Alumni invited from the past few batches included Amol Tarar, Swanand Sahasrabudhe, Sumit Assudani and Gopika Shrivastava. They spoke on their days at Tirpude Institute, their engagements and how they made the most of those days. Outdoor games and management activities say the end of the PG Induction programme and it made a positive impression and infused enthusiasm among the new batch of MBA students.
